![]() Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe has launched two new production floors for scrap processing at Dnepropetrovsk Vtormet. These facilities are equipped with a shearing press produced by France-based AKROS and scrap re-loaders made by Germany-based Sennebogen. The production capacity of one floor is 16-30 mt of scrap per hour.
Interpipe NTRP, a producer of railway wheels under the KLW brand, received certificates for its European standards, meeting German railroads’ internal demands for the company’s machine finished railway wheels. By obtaining these certificates Interpipe can supply finished railway wheels under the KLW brand to one of the largest railway operators in Europe.

Ukrainian pipe producer Interpipe will begin the cold testing of its new 1.32m tonnes/year electric steel making plant, Dneprostal, in October, the company's spokesperson tells Steel Business Briefing. Hot testing of the plant is due to begin in spring 2012, the spokesman confirms.
Ukrainian pipe producer Interpipe is forging ahead with its $700 million investment in an electric arc facility with the capacity to produce 1.32 million tpy of liquid steel, according to Interpipe commercial director Duncan Pell.
