Interpipe is to start the realization of its educational program “Forward to the future together”. The program aims to provide high-quality training to university level students enabling them to become well-qualified employees in the company’s mills.
The program has been developed through a joint collaboration between Interpipe and The National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine (NMAU) and provides its students with optimal training in NMAU courses within those areas most demanded by the company.
The flexible training program covers various practical disciplines relating to the manufacturing process and also includes additional training courses aimed at developing the skills of middle management, including studying English, attending seminars and training as well as practical studies.
Second year students will combine training and work at the mill. Fifty percent of the students’ time will be spent studying and fifty percent will be spent gaining practical experience at the mill. Students who show continual successful progress will obtain Interpipe grants to continue on with the company.
The realization of the project “Forward to the future together” will enable Interpipe to create a strategic “golden reserve” of middle management and a valuable pool of specialists. It is hoped that Interpipe’s interns will not only gain practical knowledge of the manufacturing industry but will also become familiar with global corporate ethics and culture and will be able to react to the company’s needs.
Interpipe finances the training and education of its interns giving them an excellent opportunity to gain a high quality education and an employment contract to work at the company’s mills after graduation.
