The 9th International Heavy Haul Conference, hosted jointly by Ministry of Railways (MOR), P. R. China and International Heavy Haul Association (IHHA) is to be held on June 22th,2009 in Shanghai.
The 9th International Heavy Haul Conference will focus on topics of innovation, practice and development of heavy haul. It will include summit forum, group discussion, heavy-haul technical equipment exhibition, technical visit of Datong-Qinhuangdao line, etc.. In addition, the conference will arrange welcome party and banquet. The conference will provide an opportunity personnel in world heavy haul circle to exchange, cooperate and promote development of world heavy haul.
In order to support the 9th International Heavy Haul Conference and fully play its role as a platform for communication and exhibition, upon the approval of MOR and MOC, Modern Railways 2009 will be held at Shanghai Exhibition Center during June 22-25, 2009.
Modern Railways 2009 will highlights the subject of "publicizing the construction and development achievements of Chinese Railways, and displaying the advanced technologies and equipment of railways at home and abroad", and focus on the exhibition of the advanced technologies and equipment both home and abroad in the fields of heavy haul, high speed, operation management, locomotives and rolling stock, communication and signaling, running safety, and informationization, etc..
